    The Ultimate Egg Salad Sandwich Recipe

    Ingredients:

    For the Egg Salad:

    6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and chopped

    ¼ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)

    1 tsp Dijon mustard

    1 tsp lemon juice (adds a zesty kick!)

    1 tbsp chopped chives (+ extra for garnish)

    Salt and pepper to taste

    For the Sandwich:

    4 slices of whole-grain or sourdough bread, toasted

    Butter or crisp lettuce leaves (optional)

    Instructions:

    Step 1: In a bowl, mix chopped eggs, mayo, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and chives until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.

    Step 2 (Optional): Butter one side of each slice of bread for extra richness or use lettuce for a crisp bite.

    Step 3: Spoon a generous portion of egg salad onto two slices of toasted bread. Top with the remaining slices to form sandwiches.

    Step 4: Garnish with extra chopped chives for added freshness. Slice in half and serve immediately!
