    This Sweet and Savory Glazed Chicken is a simple yet delicious dish, perfect for weeknight dinners. Juicy chicken strips are coated in a sticky glaze made from soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger, adding the ideal balance of sweet and tangy flavors. The cornstarch slurry thickens the glaze, making it rich and glossy. Quick to prepare, it pairs wonderfully with rice or veggies. Enjoy a satisfying meal that’s sure to be a hit with the family!

    Ingredients:

    1 lb chicken thighs or breasts, cut into strips for easy cooking

    Salt and pepper, to taste

    1 tbsp oil (vegetable or olive oil)

    For the Glaze:

    1/4 cup soy sauce

    1/4 cup honey or brown sugar for a natural sweetness

    2 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar for a tangy kick

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    1 tsp ginger, grated

    1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (for thickening)

    Instructions:

    1. Season the Chicken: Start by seasoning your chicken strips with salt and pepper. This simple step enhances the flavor of the dish.

    2. Sear for Flavor: Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken until browned on both sides and fully cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

    3. Create the Sweet-Savory Glaze: In the same pan, combine soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer and keep stirring until the sauce starts to thicken slightly.

    4. Thicken the Glaze: Add the cornstarch slurry to the sauce, stirring continuously. This will create a rich, glaze-like texture that coats the chicken perfectly.

    5. Glaze and Caramelize: Return the chicken strips to the pan, tossing them in the thickened glaze. Continue to cook for a few minutes, allowing the glaze to caramelize onto the chicken for a sticky, glossy finish.

    6. Serve Hot: Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy this easy, flavorful glazed chicken!
