Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 small onion, diced
3 cups chopped green cabbage
1½ cups cooked white rice
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (optional)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Add the diced onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked meat mixture, chopped cabbage, rice, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well until evenly blended.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella or cheddar on top for a gooey, golden finish.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15–20 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the cheese is bubbly.
