Looking for a mouthwatering lunch or dinner idea? This Steak and Cheese Garlic Toast is the perfect comfort food loaded with juicy steak, melted provolone, sautéed peppers, onions, and mushrooms all grilled between buttery, crispy garlic toast. Ideal for steak lovers, sandwich fans, and anyone craving cheesy goodness!

    Ingredients:

    1 Tbsp olive oil

    1/3 cup white onions, sliced

    8–10 slices green bell pepper

    1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 cup cooked steak, sliced (use ribeye or sirloin for best flavor!)

    1/3 cup mushrooms, sliced

    4 slices provolone cheese

Mayonnaise, a drizzle of olive oil, and cracked black pepper to taste

2 slices French bread or Texas toast

    Butter (for grilling the bread)

    Directions:

    1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook for 5 minutes until soft.

    2. Stir in green bell peppers, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook for 2–3 more minutes until fragrant and tender.

    3. Add the sliced steak to the pan and cook until it reaches your desired doneness. Season with salt and cracked black pepper to taste.

    4. Butter the outside of the bread slices and spread mayo on the inside. Layer each slice with provolone cheese and then add the steak-veggie mixture.

    5. Press the slices together to form sandwiches and grill on a skillet or panini press until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is perfectly melted.

    Perfect for:

Quick steak dinners, cheesy sandwich recipes, garlic toast ideas, melted provolone steak melts, and hearty grilled lunch recipes.
