Spicy Cajun Steak with Health-Conscious Creamy Alfredo Pasta

This Spicy Cajun Steak with Health-Conscious Creamy Alfredo Pasta is a flavorful, balanced meal that combines the richness of Cajun-spiced steak with a creamy Alfredo sauce. By opting for whole grain pasta and low-fat or plant-based cream, this dish supports cardiovascular health and better digestion. The use of low-sodium seasoning helps maintain healthy blood pressure, while garlic and parsley add an antioxidant boost. It’s a delicious way to enjoy a hearty meal with wellness in mind. Ready in just 35 minutes, it’s perfect for a satisfying and health-conscious dinner.

    Ingredients:

    – 1 lb lean steak (ribeye or sirloin), sliced into strips
    – 12 oz whole grain or gluten-free fettuccine pasta
    – 2 cups low-fat heavy cream or plant-based cream
    – 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (or a dairy-free alternative)
    – 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (low-sodium option)
    – 2 tbsp heart-healthy butter substitute
    – 1 tbsp olive oil (for cardiovascular health)
    – 2 cloves garlic, minced (boosts immunity)
    – 1 small onion, diced
    – 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (rich in antioxidants)
    – Salt and pepper to taste

    Instructions:

    1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions, opting for whole grain or gluten-free pasta for better digestive health. Drain and set aside.

    2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with salt, pepper, and half of the Cajun seasoning, using a low-sodium option to support healthy blood pressure. Add the steak to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

    3. In the same skillet, add the heart-healthy butter substitute, minced garlic (known for boosting immunity), and diced onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

    4. Pour in the low-fat heavy cream or plant-based cream and bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and remaining Cajun seasoning until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

    5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing it in the health-conscious Alfredo sauce until fully coated. Return the cooked steak strips to the skillet and mix well.

    6. Garnish with fresh parsley, which is rich in antioxidants, and serve hot.

    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 4
