Slow Cooker Turkey Salisbury Steak Recipe

This Slow Cooker Turkey Salisbury Steak is a comforting twist on a classic dish, made with lean ground turkey and a rich, savory mushroom gravy. It’s perfect for busy weeknights, as the slow cooker does most of the work while you enjoy your day. The patties are tender, flavorful, and pair beautifully with mashed potatoes or steamed veggies. With wholesome ingredients and a hearty taste, it’s a healthier alternative to traditional Salisbury steak. Easy to make and family-approved, this dish is sure to become a regular in your dinner rotation!

    Ingredients:

    1 pound ground turkey

    1/2 cup breadcrumbs

    1/4 cup finely chopped onion

    1 large egg

    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

    1 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup

    1/4 cup beef broth

    1 tablespoon ketchup

    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

    1 teaspoon garlic powder

    1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

    Directions:

    1. Prepare the patties: In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined. Shape into four oval patties, about 1/2-inch thick.

    2. Brown the patties: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Lightly brown the patties on both sides for about 3 minutes each. (They don’t need to be fully cooked—just seared.)

    3. Set up the slow cooker: Place the browned patties in the slow cooker.

    4. Make the sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and thyme until smooth. Pour over the patties.

    5. Cook low and slow: Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the patties are tender and fully cooked.

    6. Serve and enjoy: Spoon the savory mushroom gravy over the turkey Salisbury steaks. Serve with creamy mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite veggies for a hearty meal!

    Why You’ll Love This Recipe:

Easy and Convenient: Made in the slow cooker, it’s a hands-off recipe perfect for busy days.

Healthier Choice: Ground turkey is a lean protein, making this dish a lighter alternative to beef Salisbury steak.

Comfort Food Classic: A rich, flavorful gravy elevates this dish to comfort food status.
