If you’re craving a hearty, savory dish that’s effortlessly delicious, this Slow Cooker Pepper Steak is the perfect recipe! Juicy beef sirloin strips simmered in a rich, umami-packed sauce with colorful bell peppers and onions perfect over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
2 lbs beef sirloin strips (or sirloin steak, sliced)
3 large bell peppers (red, yellow, and green, sliced thick)
1 large onion (sliced)
3 garlic cloves (minced)
¾ cup beef broth (hot)
3 beef bouillon cubes
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp ground ginger
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp cornstarch (or flour)
Instructions:
Prepare the Sauce: In a mixing glass, combine hot beef broth, bouillon cubes, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, ground ginger, black pepper, salt, and cornstarch/flour. Stir well, crushing the bouillon cubes to dissolve.
Assemble in the Slow Cooker: Place beef strips at the bottom of the slow cooker. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef. Add sliced bell peppers, onions, and minced garlic on top.
Slow Cook to Perfection:
Cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours.
Stir halfway through if possible.
Serve & Enjoy: Once done, mix well and serve hot over steamed rice, egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or baked potatoes.
Pro Tip:
At first, it may seem like there’s not enough sauce, but as the beef and veggies cook, they’ll release extra juices, creating a flavorful gravy-like sauce!
This Slow Cooker Pepper Steak is a must-try for busy weeknights or meal prepping ahead. It’s tender, savory, and packed with flavor!
