    Get ready for a hearty, cheesy, and delicious dinner with this Slow cooker hamburger potato casserole! Perfect for busy weeknights, potlucks, or family gatherings, this easy beef and potato bake is packed with savory flavors, creamy layers, and gooey melted cheese. Whether you choose to bake it or let your slow cooker do the work, this dish is a guaranteed hit!

    Ingredients:

    1 lb (450g) ground beef for a rich, meaty flavor
    4-5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced for a hearty bite
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced adds depth of flavor
    2 cups (200g) shredded cheddar cheese for that gooey, cheesy goodness
    1 cup (240ml) beef broth enhances the beefy richness
    1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup makes it extra creamy
    1 tsp garlic powder boosts the savory taste
    1 tsp smoked paprika adds a smoky kick
    Salt and pepper, to taste for perfect seasoning
    2 tbsp olive oil or butter for a rich, buttery texture

    Instructions:

    Preheat & Prep:

    Oven Method: Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
    Slow Cooker Method: Set to low for a longer cook or high for a quicker meal.

    Brown the Beef:

    Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.

    Add ground beef, season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

    Cook until browned, then drain excess fat.

    Mix the Creamy Sauce:

    In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup with beef broth.

    Layer It Up:

    In a baking dish or slow cooker, layer half the potato slices.

    Add a layer of onion slices, followed by half of the cooked beef.

    Pour half of the soup mixture over the layers, then sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese.

    Repeat with the remaining potatoes, onions, beef, and soup mixture.

    Bake or Slow Cook:

    Oven Method:

    Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.

    Remove foil, top with the remaining cheese, and bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.

    Slow Cooker Method:

    Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.

    Sprinkle the remaining cheese during the last 20 minutes of cooking.

    Serve & Enjoy!

    Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. This cheesy beef and potato dish pairs perfectly with a crisp side salad or warm buttered rolls!
