    Sear the chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden. Transfer to the slow cooker.

    In the same skillet, sauté garlic and mushrooms for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and softened.

    Add chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits, then pour everything over the chicken.

    Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.

    In a small bowl, whisk together heavy cream, cornstarch, and water. Stir into the slow cooker.
