    Slow Cooker Beef Brisket

     

    If you’re craving melt-in-your-mouth slow cooker beef brisket, this easy recipe delivers bold flavors with minimal effort! Perfect for family dinners, holiday feasts, or meal prep.

    Ingredients:

    4-5 pounds beef brisket, trimmed
    2 teaspoons kosher salt
    1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
    1 teaspoon smoked paprika
    ½ teaspoon onion powder
    ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1 large onion, sliced
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 cup beef broth
    ½ cup balsamic vinegar
    ¼ cup brown sugar
    2 tablespoons tomato paste
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    2 bay leaves
    Fresh thyme sprigs

    Instructions:

    Season the Brisket:

    Pat the brisket dry with paper towels.
    Mix salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
    Rub the seasoning mix all over the brisket.

    Sear for Extra Flavor:

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    Sear the brisket for 3-4 minutes per side until a golden crust forms.
    Transfer to your slow cooker.

    Prepare the Flavorful Sauce:

    In the same skillet, sauté onions & garlic until soft.
    Pour in beef broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
    Stir in balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce.
    Simmer for 2 minutes, then pour over the brisket.

    Slow Cook to Perfection:

    Add bay leaves & fresh thyme on top.
    Cover and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours until fork-tender.

    Slice & Serve:

    Let the brisket rest for 10 minutes, then slice against the grain.
    Serve with the rich gravy from the slow cooker (strain for a smoother sauce if desired).

    Want it sweeter? Add extra brown sugar or a tablespoon of honey.
    Thicker gravy? Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water, stir into the sauce before serving.
