This easy homemade meatloaf is tender, juicy, and packed with rich flavors! Made with ground beef, onions, and a tangy-sweet glaze, this classic comfort food is perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients:
Meatloaf:
1½ lbs ground beef (ground shoulder roast works great)
1 slice bread, finely chopped
1 egg
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
4 tbsp ketchup
½ cup whole milk
Tangy Meatloaf Glaze:
4 tbsp apple cider vinegar
4 tbsp dark brown sugar (packed)
½ cup ketchup
Instructions:
Prepare the Meatloaf: In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped bread, egg, onion, salt, black pepper, ketchup, and milk. Mix well and shape into a loaf. Place it in a loaf pan.
Make the Glaze: In a separate bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and ketchup.
Coat & Bake: Pour the glaze over the meatloaf, covering the top and sides. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 60-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 170°F with a meat thermometer.
