    Shrimp Burgers Recipe

     

    Looking for a light, healthy, and protein-packed dinner idea? These homemade Shrimp Burgers are juicy, flavorful, and super easy to make in just 30 minutes! Perfect for seniors, seafood lovers, or anyone craving a fresh twist on the classic burger.

    Ingredients (Serves 4)

    1 lb cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or thawed frozen)
    ½ cup mayonnaise
    ¼ cup celery, finely chopped
    ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped (optional)
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or any seafood seasoning)
    Salt & black pepper to taste
    4 hamburger buns
    Butter or olive oil (for toasting buns, optional)
    Lettuce, tomato, tartar sauce (optional toppings)

    Instructions:

    Prepare the Shrimp: Thaw shrimp if frozen, then pat dry and chop into bite-sized pieces, leaving some larger chunks for texture.

    Mix the Patties: In a bowl, combine shrimp, mayonnaise, celery, onion, lemon juice, Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to keep a chunky texture.

    Shape: Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties about ½ inch thick.

    Cook: Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and heated through.

    Toast Buns (optional): Lightly toast hamburger buns with butter or olive oil.

    Assemble Burgers: Place shrimp patties on buns, add lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce, then serve warm.
