    Shrimp and Sausage Cabbage Bowl

This Shrimp and Sausage Cabbage Bowl is a one-pan wonder that combines succulent shrimp, smoky sausage, and tender cabbage in a flavorful, wholesome dish. Perfect for weeknight dinners, low-carb meal prep, and cozy comfort food cravings!

    Ingredients:

    1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
    1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
    1 small head cabbage, chopped
    1 red bell pepper, diced
    1 onion, diced
    1 cup chicken broth
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tbsp olive oil or butter
    1 tsp smoked paprika
    ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
    Salt and black pepper, to taste

    Instructions:

    Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the sliced sausage for 5–7 minutes until golden. Remove and set aside.
    In the same skillet, sauté onion and red bell pepper for 3–4 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
    Add chopped cabbage and pour in chicken broth. Stir, cover, and cook about 10 minutes until the cabbage wilts.
    Season with smoked paprika, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Return the sausage to the skillet and mix thoroughly.
    Nestle shrimp into the cabbage mixture. Cover and cook 5–6 minutes, until shrimp turn pink and are fully cooked.
    Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve warm on its own, over rice, or with a slice of cornbread.
