    Shrimp and Mussels in Creamy Garlic Sauce

    Indulge in this Shrimp and Mussels in Creamy Garlic Sauce, a rich and flavorful seafood dish that’s perfect for special dinners or cozy nights at home. Juicy shrimp and tender mussels are simmered in a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce, creating a restaurant-quality meal that’s both easy and elegant. Serve it with pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up every drop of the delicious sauce!

    Ingredients:

    Seafood Base:
    1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
    1 lb mussels, scrubbed and debearded
    Sauce & Aromatics:
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)
    ½ cup seafood broth
    1 cup heavy cream
    ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    2 tablespoons chopped parsley
    Salt and black pepper, to taste
    1 tablespoon butter

    Instructions:

    Rinse the mussels under cold water and remove the beards. Discard any that have broken shells or don’t close when tapped.

    In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, onion, and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 2–3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.

    Pour in the seafood broth and bring it to a gentle simmer. Add the mussels, cover the pan, and steam for 4–5 minutes until the shells open. Remove the cooked mussels and set aside, discarding any unopened ones.

    In the same pan, add butter, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens slightly. Add lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to taste.

    Place the shrimp into the sauce and cook for 3–4 minutes, or until pink and opaque. Return the mussels to the pan and toss gently to coat them in the creamy sauce.

    Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with toasted garlic bread for an unforgettable seafood experience!
