Shrimp and Mussels in Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce with Garlic Bread

Bring the flavors of the sea to your table with this irresistible shrimp and mussels in creamy garlic sauce. Juicy shrimp and tender mussels are simmered in a rich garlic butter Parmesan cream sauce, then served with golden, crispy homemade garlic bread. This easy seafood dinner recipe is comforting, flavorful, and perfect for any occasion.

 

Ingredients:

For the Shrimp and Mussels in Cream Sauce:

1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)

1 lb fresh mussels (cleaned and de-bearded)

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

½ cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken broth

½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

For the Garlic Bread:

4 slices of French baguette or Italian bread

2 tbsp butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp parsley, chopped

Pinch of salt

 

Instructions:

1. Make the Garlic Bread:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt.

3. Brush generously over bread slices.

4. Bake 10–12 minutes until golden and crispy.

 

2. Cook the Shrimp and Mussels in Creamy Sauce:

1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

3. Add shrimp and mussels. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Mussels will open in 3–5 minutes (discard any that remain closed).

4. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring well to combine.

5. Season with smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.

6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook 2 more minutes until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.

 

3. Serve & Enjoy:

Plate the creamy garlic shrimp and mussels, spoon sauce over the top, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Serve hot with crispy garlic bread to soak up every drop of the creamy sauce.
