    This Savory Puff Pastry with Minced Meat and Cheese is a flaky, golden delight that’s perfect for appetizers, snacks, or light meals. The buttery layers of puff pastry encase a flavorful filling of spiced minced meat and gooey melted cheese, making it irresistible. It’s easy to prepare, versatile, and ideal for any occasion, from family dinners to parties. Topped with sesame or nigella seeds, these pastries are as visually appealing as they are delicious.     Ingredients:

    For the Filling:

    1 tbsp olive oil

    1 medium onion, finely chopped

    2 garlic cloves, minced

    1 lb (450g) minced meat (beef, lamb, or chicken)

    1 tsp smoked paprika

    1/2 tsp ground cumin

    1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional)

    Salt and pepper to taste

    1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)

    2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

    For the Pastry:

    1 package puff pastry sheets (thawed, if frozen)

    1 egg (beaten for egg wash)

    Sesame or nigella seeds (optional, for garnish)

    Preparation Tips:

    Keep puff pastry chilled for easier handling and better puffing during baking.

    Ensure the filling is pre-cooked and cooled to avoid soggy pastry.

    Line the baking sheet with parchment paper for effortless cleanup.

    Instructions:

    Step 1: Make the Filling

    1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until soft and aromatic.

    2. Add the minced meat, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned.

    3. Season with smoked paprika, cumin, chili flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.

    4. Remove from heat, mix in grated cheese and parsley, and let the filling cool completely.

    Step 2: Prepare the Pastries

    1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut them into squares or rectangles.

    3. Place a spoonful of the cooled filling in the center of each pastry piece. Fold over to form triangles or rectangles and press the edges to seal. Crimp the edges with a fork for a decorative look.

    Step 3: Bake to Perfection

    1. Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame or nigella seeds, if desired.

    2. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
