    Savory Beef and Shell Pasta in Tomato Sauce

     

    This Beef and Shell Pasta in Savory Tomato Sauce is a comforting and hearty meal perfect for family dinners. The tender beef is simmered in a rich tomato sauce infused with garlic and Italian seasoning, creating a dish full of bold flavors. Tossed with perfectly cooked shell pasta, this recipe is a true crowd-pleaser. It’s simple to prepare, making it ideal for weeknights or special occasions. Serve it with garlic bread and a crisp green salad for a complete, satisfying meal!

     

    Ingredients for Beef and Shell Pasta:

    1 lb (450g) beef stew meat or sirloin, cubed

    2 tbsp olive oil

    1 medium onion, diced

    2 garlic cloves, minced

    1 cup diced tomatoes

    1 cup tomato sauce

    1½ cups beef broth

    2 tsp Italian seasoning

    2 cups shell pasta

    Salt & pepper to taste

    Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

     

    Instructions:

    1. Sear the Beef:

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.

    Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

    2. Prepare the Tomato Sauce:

    In the same skillet, sauté the diced onions and minced garlic until softened and fragrant.

    Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, and Italian seasoning.

    Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    3. Simmer to Perfection:

    Return the seared beef to the skillet.

    Cover and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the beef is tender and the sauce is rich and flavorful.

    4. Cook the Shell Pasta:

    While the sauce simmers, cook the shell pasta according to package instructions.

    Drain and set aside.

    5. Combine and Serve:

    Stir the cooked shell pasta into the beef and tomato sauce mixture.

    Let the dish simmer for another 5 minutes to blend the flavors.

    Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.

     

    Tips for Serving:

    Pair with garlic bread for a hearty meal.

    Add a crisp green salad for a refreshing side.

    Sprinkle grated Parmesan for extra cheesy goodness.
