    Sausage, Gravy, and Biscuit Pie Recipe

    ngredients:
    – 1 lb sausage
    – 2 cups milk
    – 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    – 8 biscuits (pre-made or homemade)
    – 1 teaspoon salt
    – 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    – 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
    – Optional: 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

    Directions:

    1. Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned, breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks.

    2. Make the Gravy: Sprinkle flour over the cooked sausage and stir. Let it cook for about 2 minutes. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly. Increase heat to medium-high, bringing the mixture to a boil. Then, reduce heat and let it simmer until the gravy thickens, about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and sage.

    3. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    4. Prepare the Baking Dish: Arrange the biscuits in a single layer in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
    5. Combine Biscuits and Gravy: Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuits.

    6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.

    Cooking Time: 30 minutes
    Total Time: 45 minutes
