    Oven-Fried Feta Rolls with Sweet Chili Honey

     

    Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these Oven-Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey are a flavor-packed treat! Made with flaky phyllo dough, a rich feta-cream cheese filling, and a drizzle of sweet and spicy honey, they’re the perfect combination of savory and sweet. Quick and easy to prepare, they’re ideal for parties, snacks, or a crowd-pleasing appetizer. The chili honey adds a delightful kick that takes these rolls to the next level. Impress your guests with this simple yet elegant Greek-inspired recipe!

    Ingredients:

    For the Feta Rolls:

    8 sheets phyllo dough, thawed

    1 cup crumbled feta cheese

    ½ cup cream cheese, softened

    1 teaspoon dried oregano

    1 teaspoon garlic powder

    2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)

    For the Chili Honey:

    ¼ cup honey

    ½ teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)

    1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

    Instructions:

    1. Prepare the Feta Rolls:

    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a bowl, mix feta cheese, cream cheese, oregano, and garlic powder until smooth.

    Lay one phyllo sheet on a clean surface and lightly brush with olive oil or melted butter. Layer a second sheet on top and brush again.

    Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the feta mixture onto one end of the phyllo. Roll tightly, tucking in the sides as you go (like a spring roll). Repeat for all phyllo sheets and filling.

    Place rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet and brush the tops with more olive oil or butter.

    Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

    2. Prepare the Chili Honey:

    While the rolls bake, heat honey, chili flakes, and lemon juice in a small saucepan over low heat for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat once warmed.

    3. Serve:

    Drizzle the warm chili honey over the feta rolls just before serving. Garnish with extra chili flakes or fresh herbs for a burst of flavor.
