    Moist Chocolate Walnut Cake Recipe

    ½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil

    1 cup (240ml) hot water or strong coffee (for a richer chocolate flavor)
    ¾ cup (90g) chopped walnuts
    For the Chocolate Ganache Frosting:
    1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
    200g dark or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
    2 tbsp butter (for smoothness and shine)

    Directions:

    Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease and line two 8-inch (20 cm) round cake pans.
    Mix dry ingredients: Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
    Prepare wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Add buttermilk and stir until smooth.
    Create the batter: Gradually mix dry into wet ingredients. Slowly pour in hot water or coffee for that extra moist texture.
    Add walnuts: Fold in chopped walnuts for a crunchy bite.
    Bake: Divide the batter into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes. Let cakes cool completely before frosting.

    Chocolate Ganache Frosting
    Heat cream until steaming (don’t boil).
    Pour over chopped chocolate and let sit for 2–3 minutes.
    Stir until smooth, then add butter for shine.
    Let cool slightly to thicken before spreading.
