    Million Dollar Lasagna

     

    Indulge in layers of rich, cheesy goodness with this Million Dollar Lasagna! Loaded with savory meat sauce, creamy ricotta mixture, and gooey melted cheese, this baked lasagna is the perfect family-friendly dinner or crowd-pleasing meal.

    Ingredients for Million Dollar Lasagna

    For the Meat Sauce:

    1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage)
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 can (24 oz) marinara sauce
    1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
    1 tsp Italian seasoning
    ½ tsp salt
    ½ tsp black pepper

    For the Creamy Cheese Filling:

    1 cup ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
    8 oz cream cheese, softened
    ½ cup sour cream
    1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
    1 large egg

    For Layering & Topping:

    9 lasagna noodles, cooked & drained
    2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)
    ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)

    How to Make Million Dollar Lasagna

    Prepare the Meat Sauce:

    In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
    Add chopped onion & minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
    Stir in marinara sauce, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt & pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

    Make the Cheese Mixture:

    In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, shredded mozzarella, Parmesan, and egg. Stir until smooth.

    Layer the Lasagna:

    Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
    In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce.
    Layer 3 cooked lasagna noodles over the sauce.
    Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles.
    Add another layer of meat sauce, followed by 3 more noodles.
    pread the remaining cheese mixture, then add the last 3 noodles.
    Top with the remaining meat sauce, shredded mozzarella & Parmesan cheese.

    Bake to Perfection:

    Cover with foil & bake for 30 minutes.
    Remove foil & bake for 10–15 minutes until the cheese is golden & bubbly.
    Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

    Serve & Enjoy!

    Slice & serve warm with garlic bread and a fresh side salad.
