    Cake Batter:

    – 2 large eggs
    – 1 tsp vanilla extract
    – ½ cup sour cream
    – ½ cup whole milk
    – 1 cup shelled pistachios (finely chopped)
    – ½ cup white chocolate chips

    Buttercream Frosting:

    – 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
    – 1 cup powdered sugar
    – ½ cup heavy cream
    – 1 tsp vanilla extract
    – ½ cup finely chopped pistachios (for garnish)

     

    Directions:

    1. Preheat Oven: Set to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
    2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    3. Cream Butter and Sugar: Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
    4. Combine Wet & Dry: Alternate adding dry mix with sour cream and milk. Mix until smooth.
    5. Add Flavor: Fold in pistachios and white chocolate chips.
    6. Bake: Divide batter evenly, bake 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
    7. Cool: Let cakes cool 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
    8. Frosting: Beat butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla.
    9. Assemble: Layer, frost, and top with chopped pistachios. Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
