Juicy Oven-Roasted BBQ Chicken Thighs

Ingredients:
4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on for best flavor) or any preferred cut
Salt & black pepper, to taste
1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp chili powder (optional adds a kick!)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Season the chicken: Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper.
3. Prepare the sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
4. Mix in flavor: Add BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, onion powder, and chili powder. Stir and let simmer for 2–3 minutes.
5. Coat the chicken: Place chicken in a baking dish and brush generously with half the BBQ sauce.
6. First bake: Roast in the oven for 25 minutes.
7. Add more sauce: Remove, brush with remaining sauce, and return to oven.
8. Final bake: Continue roasting another 20–25 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
9. Optional broil: For crispy, caramelized skin, broil for 3–5 minutes. Watch closely!
10. Serve: Let rest for a few minutes before serving with your favorite side dishes.
