    Juicy Bison Burgers

    These juicy bison burgers are a delicious, healthier alternative to traditional beef burgers. Made with lean ground bison, simple pantry spices, and cooked to perfection, this recipe delivers big flavor without excess fat. Perfect for weeknight dinners, summer grilling, or meal prep, bison burgers are protein-rich, tender, and incredibly satisfying.

    1 lb ground bison
    1 tsp salt
    ½ tsp black pepper
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp onion powder
    1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

    4 slices cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
    Lettuce leaves
    Tomato slices
    Caramelized onions (optional)

    Instructions:

    In a large bowl, gently combine the ground bison, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix just until combined to keep the burgers tender.
    Divide the mixture into 4 equal patties, shaping lightly without overworking the meat.
    Heat a skillet or grill over medium heat and brush with olive oil.
    Cook the bison patties for 3–4 minutes per side, until nicely browned and juicy. Avoid pressing down on the burgers.
    Add a slice of cheese during the last minute of cooking and allow it to melt.
    Lightly toast the burger buns.
    Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, optional caramelized onions, and the cheesy bison patty. Serve immediately.
