    Italian Sausage Pasta

    Italian Sausage Pasta

This savory Italian sausage pasta is a quick and easy dinner that’s packed with flavor! Juicy Italian sausage, tender mushrooms, fresh spinach, and a rich tomato sauce come together for the ultimate weeknight meal. Perfect for busy nights, this hearty pasta dish is ready in just 30 minutes!

    Ingredients:

12 oz pasta (farfalle or penne)

    1 tbsp olive oil

    8 oz crimini mushrooms, sliced

15 oz mild Italian sausage, crumbled

    4 cloves garlic, minced

½ tsp Italian seasoning (or Herbs de Provence)

    Red pepper flakes, to taste

13 oz tomato sauce (pasta sauce or marinara)

    6 oz fresh spinach

Salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste

    Instructions:

Cook the Pasta: Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Sauté the Mushrooms: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook for 3-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Cook the Sausage: In the same skillet, add crumbled Italian sausage. Cook for about 5 minutes or until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
Make the Sauce: Add garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, tomato sauce, and fresh spinach to the skillet. Stir and let it simmer for 5 minutes until the spinach wilts.
Combine & Serve: Toss in the cooked pasta and mix well. Remove from heat, season with salt & black pepper, and top with the sautéed mushrooms. Enjoy!

    Tips & Variations:

Tomato Sauce: Use your favorite traditional, basil, arrabbiata, or garlic marinara.
Sausage Options: Swap mild for sweet or spicy Italian sausage. You can also use Italian sausage links (remove the casing & slice).
Customize the Flavor: Add grated Parmesan cheese, chili flakes, or a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil for extra richness.

Perfect for Meal Prep! This easy Italian pasta dish makes great leftovers for lunch the next day.
