    Irresistible Summer Peach Cake Recipe

     

    Irresistible Summer Peach Cake Recipe

    Ingredients:
    – 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    – 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
    – 4 large eggs
    – 2 cups all-purpose flour
    – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    – 1/4 teaspoon salt
    – 1/2 cup sour cream
    – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    – 1 cup diced peaches (fresh or canned)
    – 1/2 cup peach preserves
    – 1 cup powdered sugar
    – 2 tablespoons milk

    Directions:
    1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
    2. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    3. Add Eggs: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
    4. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
    5. Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the sour cream, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
    6. Add Flavor: Stir in the vanilla extract and diced peaches.
    7. Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
    8. Bake: Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    9. Cool Cake: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
    10. Make Glaze: In a small bowl, combine the peach preserves with powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze. Drizzle over the cooled cake.
