    Ingredients:

    For the Coconut Layer:
    – 2 cups shredded sweetened coconut
    – 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
    – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    For the Chocolate Layer:
    – 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
    – 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or butter)

    Instructions:

    1. Prepare the Coconut Layer:
    – In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
    – Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
    – Press the coconut mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Smooth the top with a spatula.

    2. Prepare the Chocolate Layer:
    – In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
    – Pour the melted chocolate over the coconut layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

    3. Chill and Set:
    – Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for about 2 hours, or until the chocolate is set and firm.

    4. Cut and Serve:
    – Once the chocolate is set, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the bars out of the baking dish.
    – Cut into squares or bars using a sharp knife.
    – Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Enjoy your homemade chocolate coconut bars! These easy chocolate coconut bars are perfect for parties, family gatherings, or just a delicious treat anytime.
