    Irresistible Caramel Apple Cookie Cups Recipe

     

    Irresistible Caramel Apple Cookie Cups Recipe

    Ingredients:

    For the Cookie Cups:
    – 2 cups all-purpose flour
    – 1 tsp baking soda
    – 1 tsp ground cinnamon
    – 2 tsp cornstarch
    – 1/4 tsp salt
    – 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
    – 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
    – 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    – 1 large egg
    – 1 tsp vanilla extract

    For the Caramel Apple Topping:
    – 1 recipe caramel sauce (prepared or homemade)
    – 3 cups diced apples (2–3 Granny Smith apples recommended)
    – 1 tsp ground cinnamon
    – Pinch of ground nutmeg
    – 2 tbsp light brown sugar
    – 2 tbsp unsalted butter

     

    Directions:

    Prepare the Oven and Pan:
    – Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    – Spray a cupcake pan with non-stick spray.

    Mix the Cookie Dough:
    – In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cornstarch, and salt.
    – In another bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing well.
    – Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients until the dough forms.

     

    Bake the Cookie Cups:
    – Form dough into balls and press into the cupcake cups, shaping the dough up the sides to form a cup.
    – Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set and lightly golden. Remove from oven and, if necessary, gently press the centers with a spoon to make a well for the filling. Let cool slightly.

    Prepare the Caramel Apple Topping:
    – In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the diced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. Cook until the apples are tender and caramelized, stirring occasionally.

     

    Assemble the Cookie Cups:
    – Spoon or pour caramel sauce into each cookie cup.
    – Top with the sautéed apple mixture.
    – Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the apples for extra sweetness and flair.

     

    Serve and Enjoy:
    – Allow the cookie cups to cool and set before serving. Best enjoyed warm for that gooey caramel goodness!

    Cook Time: 10 minutes
    Yield: 18-20 cookie cups
