    300 g chicken breast, diced

    150 g mushrooms, sliced

    1 small onion, diced

    1 garlic clove, minced

    1 tbsp butter

    1 tbsp olive oil

    200 ml heavy cream

    50 ml chicken broth (or water)

    1 tsp mixed dried herbs

    Salt and black pepper, to taste

    For the Steamed Rice:
    150 g basmati rice

    300 ml water

    Pinch of salt

    Garnish:
    Fresh parsley, chopped

    How to Make Creamy Chicken in Mushroom Sauce
    1. Cook the Rice
    Rinse the basmati rice, then cook it with water and salt for 12–15 minutes until soft, fluffy, and fragrant. Set aside.

    2. Sear the Chicken
    Season diced chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the chicken until golden on all sides. Remove and keep warm.

    3. Build the Mushroom Base
    Add butter to the same pan. Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant. Add mushrooms and cook until they become golden and caramelized.

    4. Create the Creamy Sauce
    Pour in the cream and chicken broth, then stir in the dried herbs. Return the chicken to the pan and let everything simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens. Taste and adjust seasoning.

    5. Serve and Enjoy
    Spoon fluffy steamed rice onto plates and top with creamy chicken mushroom sauce. Sprinkle fresh parsley for extra flavor and color.
