    Hearty Spicy Beef Chili Recipe

Made with lean ground beef, a mix of kidney and pinto beans, and zesty spices, it’s a filling dish perfect for meal prep, potlucks, or chilly evenings. Serve it with a side of cornbread, rice, or tortilla chips for a complete comfort meal.

    Ingredients You’ll Need:

    1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for rich flavor)
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 green bell pepper, chopped
    1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
    1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
    1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
    2 tablespoons chili powder
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    ½ teaspoon dried oregano
    ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (add more for extra heat)
    Salt and black pepper, to taste
    1 tablespoon olive oil

    Instructions:

     

    In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat.

    Add chopped onion and green bell pepper. Cook for 4–5 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

    Sprinkle in chili powder, cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to coat the meat and veggies, letting the spices toast for 1 minute.

    Pour in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, pinto beans, and diced tomatoes with green chilies. Stir everything together, bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 30–60 minutes, stirring occasionally to let the flavors meld beautifully.

    Taste and adjust seasonings if needed. Serve hot with your favorite toppings shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, or fresh cilantro!
