    Hearty Cabbage and Ground Beef Skillet Recipe

     

    This Cabbage and Ground Beef Skillet is a hearty, one-pan meal that’s both comforting and nutritious. With tender cabbage, savory ground beef, and a blend of seasonings, it’s packed with flavor yet easy to make. Perfect for a quick, low-carb dinner, this dish brings big flavor with minimal cleanup. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s ideal for busy weeknights. Garnish with fresh parsley for an extra pop of color!

    Ingredients:

    1 lb ground beef

    1 small onion, chopped

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    1 medium head of cabbage, chopped

    1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained

    1 cup beef broth (or water)

    1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

    1 tsp paprika

    ½ tsp dried thyme

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Olive oil (for cooking)

    Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

    Instructions:

    Step 1: Brown the Beef

    1. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat.

    2. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Break apart with a spoon and drain excess fat if needed.

    Step 2: Sauté the Aromatics

    1. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.

    Step 3: Add Cabbage and Seasonings

    1. Stir in the chopped cabbage, ensuring it’s evenly mixed with the beef.

    2. Add diced tomatoes (including juice), beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Combine thoroughly.

    Step 4: Simmer Until Tender

    1. Cover the skillet and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and flavors meld.

    Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

    1. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

    2. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot!
