    Hearty Beef and Potato Casserole

    **Ingredients:**

    – 1 lb ground beef
    – 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
    – 1 onion, finely chopped
    – 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    – 1 can (10.75 oz) cream of mushroom soup
    – 1/2 cup milk
    – 1/4 cup butter
    – Salt and pepper to taste
    – 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    – 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    – Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

    Directions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.

    2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.

    3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

    4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the prepared casserole dish. Top with half of the cooked beef mixture and half of the shredded cheese.

    5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef, and cheese.

    6. Evenly pour the soup mixture over the top layer. Dot the surface with butter.

    7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.

    8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
