    Gooey Chocolate Caramel Turtle Cake Roll

     

    Indulge in the rich decadence of our Gooey Chocolate Caramel Turtle Cake Roll , a perfect blend of chocolate sponge, gooey caramel, and crunchy pecans, all wrapped up and topped with a luscious ganache.     Ingredients:

    – For the Cake:
    – 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    – 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    – 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    – 1/4 teaspoon salt
    – 2 large eggs
    – 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    – 1/4 cup brown sugar
    – 1/4 cup vegetable oil
    – 1/4 cup milk
    – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    – For the Filling:
    – 1 cup caramel sauce
    – 1/2 cup chopped pecans

    – For the Ganache:
    – 1/2 cup heavy cream
    – 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    Instructions:

    1. Cake Preparation:

    – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 15×10-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease the paper.
    – In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    – In a large bowl, beat eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
    – Add vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
    – Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
    – Evenly spread the batter in the prepared pan.
    – Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cake springs back when touched.
    – While still warm, gently roll up the cake with the parchment paper from the short end. Let it cool completely.

    2. Filling Preparation:

    – Unroll the cooled cake and spread caramel sauce evenly over the surface.
    – Sprinkle chopped pecans over the caramel layer.
    – Re-roll the cake, using the parchment paper to assist.

    3. Ganache Preparation:

    – In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream until it begins to simmer.
    – Remove from heat, add chocolate chips, and stir until smooth and glossy.
    – Let ganache cool slightly, then pour it over the rolled cake.
