Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet Recipe
This garlic butter steak and potatoes skillet is one of my family’s favorite recipes! Even the picky eaters love it.
Ingredients:
– 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 pound small red potatoes, quartered
– 1/2 cup chopped onion
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon butter
– 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
1. Prepare Ingredients:
– Cut the sirloin steak into 1-inch cubes.
– Quarter the small red potatoes.
– Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
– Chop the fresh parsley.
2. Cook Potatoes:
– Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
– Add quartered potatoes, season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
– Cook potatoes for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and tender.
– Remove potatoes from skillet and set aside.
3. Cook Steak:
– In the same skillet, add cubed sirloin steak.
– Season steak with remaining salt and pepper.
– Cook steak for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked to desired doneness.
– Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
4. Cook Onions and Garlic:
– In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic.
– Sauté for 2-3 minutes, until onions are translucent and garlic is fragrant.
5. Combine and Finish:
– Add cooked potatoes and steak back into the skillet with onions and garlic.
– Stir in butter, allowing it to melt and coat the steak and potatoes.
– Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring to combine all flavors.
6. Garnish and Serve:
– Remove skillet from heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
– Serve hot and enjoy your delicious garlic butter steak and potatoes skillet!
Tips for Best Results:
– For extra flavor, add a splash of beef broth or a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce when combining the steak and potatoes.
– Avoid overcrowding the skillet to ensure even cooking of steak and potatoes.
