    Fudgy Chocolate Brownie Cookies

     

    Fudgy Chocolate Brownie Cookies

    Ingredients:

    *For the cookies:
    – 1/2 cup unsalted butter
    – 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
    – 3/4 cup granulated sugar
    – 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    – 2 large eggs
    – 1 tsp vanilla extract
    – 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
    – 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    – 1/2 tsp baking powder
    – 1/2 tsp salt
    – Extra chocolate chips or chunks for topping (optional)

    Directions:

    1. Preparation:
    – Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

    2. Melt Butter and Chocolate:
    – In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate chips together, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

    3. Mix Wet Ingredients:
    – In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

    4. Combine Wet and Chocolate Mixture:
    – Stir in the cooled chocolate mixture until well combined.

    5. Sift Dry Ingredients:
    – Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

    6. Form Cookies:
    – Drop dough by heaped tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets. If desired, press extra chocolate chips or chunks on top of each cookie.

    7. Bake:
    – Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.

    8. Cool:
    – Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
