Looking for a quick and flavorful comfort meal? This Fried Potatoes, Onions, and Smoked Polish Sausage recipe is a savory, one-pan delight that’s packed with crispy potatoes, caramelized onions, and smoky sausage. Perfect for a cozy dinner or a hearty breakfast!

    Ingredients:

1½ lbs russet potatoes, diced into ½-inch cubes

1 lb smoked Polish sausage, sliced

    2 tbsp olive oil

    ½ tsp seasoned salt

    ½ tsp Italian seasoning

½ large red bell pepper, sliced

½ large green bell pepper, sliced

    1 small onion, diced

    Black pepper, to taste

    Shredded Parmesan cheese, for garnish

How to Make Fried Potatoes, Onions, and Smoked Polish Sausage:

Sauté the Onions: In a large pan, heat 1 tbsp butter over medium heat and sauté the onions until translucent. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Cook the Potatoes: In the same pan, melt 1 tbsp butter with 1 tbsp olive oil. Add diced potatoes, seasoned salt, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes, until slightly tender.
Add the Sausage: Stir in the sliced smoked sausage and cook for another 10 minutes, letting the sausage brown beautifully.
Mix in Peppers & Onions: Toss in the red and green bell peppers along with the sautéed onions. Cook until the peppers are slightly crisp-tender.
Finish & Serve: Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot and enjoy this classic Southern-style dish!
