    French Onion Beef and Noodles

     

    French Onion Beef and Noodles:

    Ingredients
    – 2 tablespoons olive oil
    – 1 pound beef stew meat
    – 1 teaspoon onion powder
    – 2 cups beef broth
    – 1 packet (about 1 ounce) dry French onion soup mix
    – 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
    – 2 cups water
    – 1 package (12 ounces) egg noodles
    – 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    – 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
    – Salt and pepper to taste
    – Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

    Instructions

    1. Prepare the Beef:
    – In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
    – Add the beef stew meat to the skillet and season with onion powder, salt, and pepper.
    – Cook the beef until browned on all sides.

    2. Make the Sauce:
    – Add the beef broth, French onion soup mix, and cream of mushroom soup to the skillet.
    – Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.
    – Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

    3. Cook the Noodles:
    – While the beef is cooking, bring a large pot of water to a boil.
    – Add the egg noodles to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
    – Drain the noodles and set aside.

    4. Combine Beef and Noodles:
    – Once the beef mixture has cooked, add the cooked noodles to the skillet.
    – Stir to combine the noodles with the beef and sauce.

    5. Add Cheese:
    – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    – Transfer the beef and noodle mixture to a large baking dish.
    – Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Swiss cheeses evenly over the top.

    6. Bake:
    – Place the baking dish in the preheated oven.
    – Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

    7. Serve:
    – Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
    – Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
    – Serve hot and enjoy!
