    Forgotten Chicken is the ultimate comfort food creamy, flavorful, and incredibly easy to make. With just one pan, this chicken and rice bake combines tender chicken breasts, creamy soups, and a delicious onion soup mix for a savory finish. Ideal for busy weeknights, it’s a set-it-and-forget-it meal that delivers cozy flavors without the fuss. Plus, it’s versatile: add your favorite herbs or swap in extra cream of chicken for a personal touch. Perfect for family dinners or meal prep, this dish will quickly become a household favorite!

    Ingredients:

    4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

    1 cup long-grain rice (uncooked)

    1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

    1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup

    1 ½ cups water or chicken broth

    1 packet onion soup mix

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish for easy cleanup.

    2. Layer the Rice: Spread uncooked long-grain rice evenly at the bottom of your dish this will become perfectly fluffy as it bakes!

    3. Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, and water or chicken broth. Stir until smooth. Pour this creamy mixture over the rice.

    4. Add Chicken: Place the boneless chicken breasts over the rice mixture.

    5. Top with Onion Soup Mix: Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the chicken and rice for an extra burst of flavor.

    6. Cover and Bake: Cover tightly with foil to lock in moisture, and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the chicken is tender and the rice is cooked through.

    Recipe Notes:

    Flavor Boost: Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or thyme for a finishing touch.

    Customize: If you’re a fan of creamy flavors, substitute the cream of mushroom with another can of cream of chicken soup.
