Looking for a hearty and satisfying dish? This easy homemade Picadillo recipe is packed with bold flavors from ground beef, tender potatoes, jalapeños, and rich tomato sauce. It’s a perfect comfort food dinner that’s great for the whole family!

    Ingredients:

2 lbs ground beef (carne molida)

2 jalapeños, sliced to your preference

    1/2 onion, chopped your way

Tomato bouillon (Knorr Consomate), to taste

    1/2 can tomato sauce

4 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped

1/2 can diced tomatoes with green chiles

2–3 garlic cloves, minced (use more or less to taste)

    Onion powder

    Garlic salt

    Adobo seasoning

    Salt, to taste

Water (amount depends on desired thickness)

    Instructions:

    1. In a large skillet or pot, brown the ground beef with minced garlic over medium heat until fully cooked.
    2. Season the beef with onion powder, garlic salt, adobo, and Knorr tomato bouillon to taste.
    3. Stir in onions, jalapeños, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes with chiles, and potatoes.
    4. Add water just enough to reach your desired consistency (thick and chunky or saucy and stewy).
    5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low-medium and simmer until potatoes are tender and flavors meld beautifully (about 20–25 minutes).

    Serving Tip:

Serve with warm tortillas, white rice, or a side of beans for a classic Mexican-style meal!
