    This Filet Mignon with Creamy Parmesan Mustard Sauce is a luxurious yet simple meal, ideal for date nights or special occasions. Perfectly seared filet mignon is paired with a rich, velvety sauce made from heavy cream, Parmesan, and Dijon mustard, adding a burst of savory flavor.     Ingredients:

    2 filet mignon steaks (about 1.5 inches thick)

    Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    1/2 cup heavy cream

    1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

    1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

    Optional: Fresh thyme or rosemary for extra flavor

    Instructions:

    1. Season the Steaks:
    Let the filet mignon rest at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

    2. Cook the Steaks:
    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear each filet for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until your preferred doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C). After cooking, set steaks aside to rest for 5 minutes.

    3. Prepare the Sauce:
    In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Pour in the heavy cream, scraping up any flavorful bits from the pan. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and Dijon mustard, cooking for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Adjust seasoning as needed.

    4. Serve:
    Plate the filet mignon and drizzle generously with the creamy Parmesan mustard sauce. Garnish with parsley and optional fresh herbs.

    Pro Tips:

    Check Steak Doneness: For medium, aim for 140°F (60°C); for medium-well, 150°F (65°C).
