    Delicious Homemade Reuben Bake

     

    This Homemade Reuben Bake transforms the classic Reuben sandwich into a hearty, baked casserole. Packed with layers of cubed rye bread, tender corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, and gooey Swiss cheese, it’s the ultimate comfort food. A creamy blend of Thousand Island dressing, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard ties everything together for a rich, savory flavor. Perfect for family dinners, this easy-to-make dish will impress with its bold taste and cheesy goodness. Garnish with fresh parsley for a finishing touch!

    Ingredients:

    1 loaf of rye bread, cubed

    1 pound corned beef, thinly sliced

    1 cup sauerkraut, drained

    1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded

    1 cup Thousand Island dressing

    1/2 cup mayonnaise

    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

    1 teaspoon garlic powder

    1 teaspoon onion powder

    Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat the Oven

    Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    2. Prepare the Baking Dish

    Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

    3. Layer the Ingredients

    Start by layering half of the cubed rye bread across the bottom of the dish.

    Add half of the corned beef slices, followed by half of the sauerkraut and half of the shredded Swiss cheese.

    4. Make the Reuben Sauce

    In a bowl, combine Thousand Island dressing, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder. Whisk until smooth.

    5. Add the Remaining Layers

    Spread half of the sauce over the layered ingredients.

    Repeat the layers with the remaining rye bread, corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese.

    Pour the rest of the sauce mixture evenly on top.

    6. Bake

    Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

    Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

    7. Garnish and Serve

    Once out of the oven, let it cool slightly.

    Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
