    Delicious Apple Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

Looking for the best apple oatmeal cookies? These chewy cookies are packed with oats, fresh apples, and cinnamon, making them an irresistible treat that disappeared way too fast in my house!

    Ingredients:
    – 1 cup (125 grams) all-purpose flour
    – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    – 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    – 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    – 1/4 teaspoon salt
    – 1 and 3/4 cups (175 grams) old-fashioned rolled oats
    – 1/2 cup (115 grams) unsalted butter, softened
    – 1/2 cup (100 grams) light brown sugar, packed
    – 1/4 cup (50 grams) granulated sugar
    – 1 large egg, at room temperature
    – 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    – 1 cup (120 grams) chopped apple

    Directions:
    1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (177°C). Prepare two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

    2. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, baking soda, and salt. Stir in the old-fashioned rolled oats.
    3. Cream Butter and Sugars: Using a mixer, beat the softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar for 1-2 minutes until fully combined. Mix in the egg and pure vanilla extract.
    4. Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped apples.
    5. Scoop Dough: Using a 1.5 tablespoon cookie scoop, scoop balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.

    6. Bake: Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are set.
    7. Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tips for the Best Apple Oatmeal Cookies:
    – Use fresh apples for the best flavor and texture.
    – Ensure your butter is softened for easier mixing.
    – Don’t overmix the dough to keep the cookies soft and chewy.

Enjoy these homemade apple oatmeal cookies as a perfect snack or dessert!
