    Ingredients:

    1 cup whole milk

    1/2 cup brown sugar

    1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled

    1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for cake)

    1/2 cup caramel sauce

    1 cup powdered sugar

    2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

    3 large eggs

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for buttercream)

    1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for buttercream)

    1/4 cup caramel sauce (for buttercream)

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

    2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 8-inch round cake pans. Dust them with flour to prevent sticking.

    2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set this dry mixture aside.

    3. Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).

    4. Add Eggs & Vanilla: Mix in the eggs one at a time, ensuring they are well combined. Then, add 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and mix.

    5. Incorporate Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture, alternating with the milk and cooled coffee. Start and end with the dry ingredients, mixing gently.

    6. Bake the Cake: Divide the batter evenly between the pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let the cakes cool for 10 minutes in the pans before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

    7. Prepare the Coffee Buttercream: While the cakes cool, make the buttercream. Beat softened butter until smooth, then gradually mix in powdered sugar. Add in the cooled coffee, 1/4 cup caramel sauce, and vanilla extract until the frosting becomes light and fluffy.

    8. Assemble the Cake: Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread 1/3 of the caramel sauce on top, followed by the second layer with another 1/3 of caramel sauce. Place the final layer on top and frost the entire cake with the coffee buttercream.

    9. Drizzle Caramel: Finish with a drizzle of extra caramel sauce on top for a stunning presentation.
