Crockpot Creamy Potato & Hamburger Soup Recipe
Ingredients:
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1 cup onion, chopped
– 1 cup carrot, diced
– 1 cup potatoes, diced
– 1/2 cup green pepper or celery (optional), chopped
– 1 cup tomato juice
– 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
– 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
– 4 cups milk, divided
– 1/3 cup flour
Instructions:
1. **Melt Butter:** In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. **Brown Ground Beef:** Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
3. **Cook Onions:** Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until it becomes transparent.
4. **Combine Ingredients:** Transfer the beef and onions to the crockpot. Stir in the diced carrot, diced potatoes, chopped green pepper or celery (if using), tomato juice, salt, black pepper, and seasoned salt.
5. **Cook in Crockpot:** Cover the crockpot and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
6. **Prepare Flour Mixture:** In a bowl, combine the flour with 1 cup of milk, whisking until smooth.
