    Creamy Skillet Butter Chicken Inspired by Texas Roadhouse

    Indulge in this creamy, flavorful skillet butter chicken inspired by Texas Roadhouse! Juicy chicken bites coated in a rich Parmesan cream sauce make this dish perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a comfort food feast. Bonus: it’s packed with protein and nutrients while staying indulgently satisfying.

    Ingredients:

    1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
    2 tbsp unsalted butter (healthy fats for satiety)
    1 tbsp olive oil (heart-healthy monounsaturated fats)
    3 cloves garlic, minced (immune-boosting & anti-inflammatory)
    1 tsp paprika (adds flavor & antioxidants)
    1 tsp onion powder
    ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for a metabolism boost)
    Salt and black pepper, to taste
    ½ cup heavy cream (adds rich, creamy texture)
    ⅓ cup chicken broth (low-calorie flavor base)
    ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (protein & calcium)
    1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (+ extra for garnish, packed with vitamins)
    1 tsp lemon juice (optional, balances richness & adds vitamin C)

    Directions:

    Season the chicken: Sprinkle paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne (if using) over the chicken pieces.

    Sear the chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove chicken and set aside.

    Make the sauce: Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and minced garlic, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

    Deglaze the pan: Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits. Simmer for 2 minutes for a flavorful base.

    Add creamy goodness: Lower heat, stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until the sauce is smooth and thickened.

    Combine chicken and sauce: Return chicken to the skillet, toss to coat, and simmer 3–4 minutes.

    Finish & garnish: Add a squeeze of lemon juice and sprinkle fresh parsley on top. Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or with warm rolls.
