    Creamy Sausage Rigatoni Pasta Recipe

    Looking for a cozy, creamy pasta dish that’s packed with flavor? This Creamy Sausage Rigatoni is a hearty and satisfying dinner that combines tender rigatoni pasta with Italian sausage, garlic, tomato sauce, and a luscious Parmesan cream sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or lazy weekends!

     

    Ingredients:

    12 oz rigatoni pasta

    1 lb Italian sausage (casings removed)

    1 tbsp olive oil

    1 small onion, finely diced

    3 cloves garlic, minced

    1 tsp garlic powder

    1 tsp onion powder

    1 tsp Italian seasoning

    1 tsp salt

    1/8 tsp black pepper

    1/2 cup tomato sauce

    1/2 cup heavy cream

    1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

     

    Instructions:

    1. Boil rigatoni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add Italian sausage and break it into crumbles as it cooks until browned.

    3. Stir in diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is soft and fragrant, about 3–4 minutes.

    4. Pour in the tomato sauce and stir. Lower the heat to medium-low, then add the heavy cream. Simmer gently until the sauce thickens slightly.

    5. Add garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and well incorporated.

    6. Add the cooked rigatoni to the sauce. Mix thoroughly to coat each piece in the creamy sausage sauce.

    7. Top with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

     

    Pro Tips:

    Swap rigatoni for penne or ziti if desired.

    Use spicy Italian sausage for a bold kick.

    Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
