    Creamy Mushroom Chicken Alfredo Casserole

    Looking for a rich, cheesy, and satisfying dinner idea? This Mushroom and Chicken Alfredo Casserole is the ultimate comfort food loaded with tender chicken, earthy mushrooms, creamy Alfredo sauce, and melty cheese! It’s a quick and hearty baked pasta dish perfect for busy weeknights or cozy weekends.

     

    Ingredients:

    3 cups cooked shredded chicken or diced rotisserie chicken

    8 oz uncooked pasta (penne or rotini work best)

    2 tablespoons butter

    1½ cups fresh sliced mushrooms

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    2 cups Alfredo sauce (homemade or store-bought)

    1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

    ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

    Salt and black pepper, to taste

    Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

     

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.

    2. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    3. Sauté the mushrooms: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.

    4. Combine ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, sautéed mushrooms, Alfredo sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir to mix everything thoroughly.

    5. Assemble the casserole: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly on top.

    6. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.

    7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
