Creamy Mushroom Chicken Alfredo Casserole

Ingredients:
3 cups cooked shredded chicken or diced rotisserie chicken
8 oz uncooked pasta (penne or rotini work best)
2 tablespoons butter
1½ cups fresh sliced mushrooms
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups Alfredo sauce (homemade or store-bought)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
2. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
3. Sauté the mushrooms: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
4. Combine ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, sautéed mushrooms, Alfredo sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir to mix everything thoroughly.
5. Assemble the casserole: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly on top.
