    Creamy Crab and Shrimp Seafood Bisque Recipe

    Ingredients for Creamy Seafood Bisque:

    ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

    ½ lb lump crab meat (fresh or canned)

    4 tablespoons butter

    1 small onion, finely chopped

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    ¼ cup all-purpose flour

    3 cups seafood broth or chicken broth

    1 cup heavy cream

    1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

    ½ teaspoon paprika

    Salt and black pepper, to taste

    Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

    How to Make Crab and Shrimp Bisque

    1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

    2. Stir in flour to form a roux; cook while stirring for 1-2 minutes until golden.

    3. Slowly whisk in broth, stirring constantly until the bisque thickens. Add heavy cream, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.

    4. Add shrimp and lump crab meat to the pot. Cook 5-7 minutes until shrimp are pink and cooked through.

    5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and crusty bread on the side for dipping.

     

    Cooking Tips for the Best Seafood Bisque:

    Use fresh seafood or high-quality lump crab meat for maximum flavor.

    Adjust Old Bay seasoning to your taste for the perfect spicy kick.

    For a thicker bisque, simmer longer or add more flour during the roux step.
