    Creamy Chicken Stroganoff with Mushrooms

    This Creamy Chicken Stroganoff with Mushrooms is a comforting, family-friendly meal made with tender chicken breast, savory mushrooms, and a rich, velvety cream sauce.     Ingredients:

    2 lbs chicken breast, cut into strips
    8 oz mushrooms, sliced
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 cup chicken broth
    1 cup heavy cream
    2 tbsp butter
    1 tbsp all-purpose flour
    1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp Dijon mustard
    Salt & black pepper, to taste
    1 tbsp olive oil
    Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
    Egg noodles or rice, for serving

    Directions:

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken strips and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 7–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
    In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and garlic for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and soft.
    Add mushrooms and cook for 4–5 minutes until tender and lightly browned.
    Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir well. Cook for 1–2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
    Gradually pour in chicken broth, stirring constantly. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
    Stir in heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.
    Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to fully coat the chicken and mushrooms.
    Serve hot over egg noodles or rice and garnish with fresh parsley.
