    Cinnamon Roll French Toast Sticks with Cream Cheese Icing

    The Ultimate Sweet Breakfast Treat for Your Family!

    If you’re craving an indulgent and easy brunch recipe, these Cinnamon Roll French Toast Sticks are your new go-to! Stuffed with buttery cinnamon sugar and finished with a dreamy cream cheese icing, they’re the perfect sweet breakfast idea that tastes like dessert! Ideal for weekends, holidays, or anytime you want to impress.

     

    Ingredients

    For the Cinnamon Sugar Butter Filling:

    1/2 cup + 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

    1/4 cup light brown sugar

    1 tbsp ground cinnamon

    For the Bread:

    8 slices thick, soft white bread

    For the French Toast Egg Mixture:

    2 large eggs

    1/4 cup milk

    1 tsp vanilla extract

    For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

    1/4 cup granulated sugar

    1 tsp ground cinnamon

    For the Cream Cheese Icing:

    1 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

    1/2 cup cream cheese, room temperature

    1/4 cup powdered sugar (confectioners’ sugar)

     

    Instructions

    Step 1: Make the Cinnamon Filling & Prep the Bread

    In a small bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until creamy.
    Remove crusts from the bread and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
    Spread a thin layer of cinnamon butter mixture on each slice, then roll tightly into logs.

    Step 2: Prepare the Egg Dipping Mixture

    In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
    Dip each roll into the mixture, coating all sides but not soaking.

    Step 3: Fry the French Toast Sticks

    In a nonstick skillet, melt 1–2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
    Cook each roll, turning until golden brown and crispy on all sides (2–3 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.

    Step 4: Coat in Cinnamon Sugar

    Mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl.
    Roll the hot French toast sticks in the mixture until well coated.

    Step 5: Make the Cream Cheese Icing

    In a bowl, beat together softened butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth.
    Transfer to a piping bag or serve in a small bowl for dipping.

    Step 6: Serve & Enjoy

    Serve warm! Drizzle icing on top or dip each cinnamon roll French toast stick into the luscious cream cheese frosting for the ultimate breakfast dessert experience.
